CLIMATE CHANGE
Related to country: Philippines

Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Dear Friends on the Taking it Global Network,

I wriote these words last year and we are still in danger. The Forum is going ahead in Bulacan
the Philippines next May (5-5-2009/ 10/5/2009).

This is a message to everyone at TIG around the world. Next year will be the 1st World Creative Forum on Education for PEACE~THE ENVIRONMENT and SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT in Manila the Philippines. If you need to know more please contact me childrenoftheworldmm@yahoo.com
Here is a warning to all of us :
THE EARTH TODAY IS IN IMMINENT DANGER AND NOTHING SHORT OF A PLANETARY RESCUE WILL SAVE IT FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL CATACLYSM OF DANGEROUS CLIMATE CHANGE. These words come not from me and my friends active in campaigns to save Mother Earth from further destruction but from eminent scientists engaged in climate research. The damage to the Earth began to escalate when the Industrial Revolution started in the mid-1800's here in the UK. Then within the last few decades it has got much worse due to the increase in car ownership for example. The US and China are now considered the top two nations to have contributed more than any other country to climate change.
Our 1st Creative Forum in Bulacan will bring together young people who share the concerns of us all about the future of Mother Earth and they will learn from one another and bring back with them fresh ideas to their communities on how to tackle climate change.
Please do get in touch,
Frederick

The venue for the event is Bulacan a one and a half hour journey by car from Manlia. The website is www.worldcreativeyouthforum.net
My website is www.kyazanga.org/childrenoftheworld
Please keep in touch,
Frederick

The loop of misinformation

Today we awoke at 6 in the morning to a siren, but it was a false positive. I went back to sleep and only woke up by 1PM, and then it was a limbo of sirens and heading down into the bunker and back up. A rather old three story building suffered a direct hit today, so far today few people have been hurt.

What I'd like to talk about right now is the FUD.
In Beirut a group of reports from all over the world were standing a fair bit away from the action and saw something. They weren’t sure what it was, then one of them from the Lebanese TV decided it’s a plane that was shot down. The others heard it and all of them started reporting it. It's a plane, it’s a chopper, it’s a plane.

On the news channel here they picked up that Sky News was reporting it and showed all of that, and asked an analyst if this is true. He said that sources told him in his earpiece that no such thing happened. This all played out right on TV.

It's just weird how unreliable foreign media is.

RUGGED EIYE

Supreme Eiye Confranternity is an organisation that is formed ahead of its time. As a saying in YORUBA proverb says 'OJU ORUN TO EIYE FO LAI FARA KONRA' which means the SKY IS ENOUGH FOR THE BIRDS TO FLY WITHOUT TOUCHING EACH OTHER' This means that all of us in this world can move about without disturbing each other either by way of RELIGION; CULTURE, IDIOLOGY, TRADITION, ETC. That is we must tolorate each other.
As an Eyie, you can move anywhere in the world, live anywhere, eat anywhere. As EIYE ONI SASUN EIYE NBUTA.
AS EYIE man NO DRUG, NO KILLING, NO HATE, NO LOVE.
KUKURUKU.
